Painting America’s Natural Wonders: My National Parks Journey

I’ve always been in awe of our country’s incredible national parks. These pristine natural wonders have long been a source of joy and inspiration for me, drawing me back time and again to explore their diverse landscapes. For years, I’ve nurtured two passions: traveling and painting. One day, it struck me – why not combine these loves into one grand adventure? This epiphany led me to embark on an ambitious project: painting all 63 national parks in the United States. My journey began as a photographer, capturing the breathtaking vistas of these parks through my lens. However, when I discovered plein air painting, I realized I’d found my true calling. There’s something magical about setting up an easel in the heart of nature, taking the time to truly absorb the scenery, and translating that experience onto canvas.

Plein air painting isn’t just about creating art; it’s about crafting memories. It’s a way of connecting with nature on a deeper level, far beyond what a photograph can capture.

So now, I’m setting off on this grand expedition. My goal? To paint in every national park, from the towering sequoias of California to the rugged coastlines of Maine. I’ll be documenting my adventures, sharing the challenges and triumphs of painting in diverse environments, and hopefully inspiring others to explore and appreciate these natural treasures.

Join me on this journey as I traverse the country, easel in hand, ready to capture the beauty of America’s national parks one painting at a time. Who knows where this adventure will lead? I’m excited to find out!
